Before you start feeling hip, this track is almost a year old and Noisey have already tired to ruin it.
"Deadstream" is just another slap for genres that long stood as a pivotal point for experts and fans alike to argue about, as it blends ingredients seamlessly from all across the audible range. Some elements such as broken beats, a soft indie rockish voice and the future bass like soundscape are a no brainer to spot, but at a certain moment the mind just gives in to the mesmerizing mixture of synths, riffs and distorted, chopped up vocals to the point where the flow blurs out the rest of the world.
Jim-E Stack have managed to drive home a track that is loaded with energy yet it's calm and soft at the same time, transmitting an overly positive feel to the listener while leaving enough room to be interpreted individually, navigating very cleverly on a road densely populated by clichés.
